Dear Nadaburg Unified School District Families,

On behalf of the NUSD Governing Board and our administrative team, I would like to thank you for your continued support with your child’s online learning during school closure this spring.

As your Superintendent, I would like to learn from your experiences to see how you are doing and gain some insights as we plan for the new school year. Please know that the safety and wellbeing of our staff and students continues to be our priority and decisions will be made based on our public health and elected officials’ guidelines and data gathered from our families and staff. In the meantime, we are working diligently to ensure schools, classrooms, learning materials, cafeterias, and buses are ready for our students and we are exploring different learning options to ensure safety. We have also purchased a large supply of alcohol-based hand sanitizers, gloves, face masks, and additional cleaning supplies to have on hand as we prepare for the upcoming school year.

In order to help us make the best-informed decisions as we move forward and plan for the 2020-2021 school year we would greatly appreciate it if you could take a few minutes to complete this survey. CLICK HERE.

I hope that your family members stay safe and healthy throughout the summer. It is very difficult for me not to see our student’s smiling faces and remind them to have a fun, safe summer. Please remind your students how much they mean to me and to our entire NUSD family and let them know they are missed, and we are excited to see them when school resumes. Summer school will be facilitated virtually for grades K-8 for 3 weeks, Monday through Thursday mornings, May 26-June 11. Please email if you would like to enroll your students. This year, summer school is open to all students and will be individualized for what each student needs through small group virtual teaching.

Beginning in June, NUSD is providing limited summer childcare in alignment with CDC guidelines with preference given to first responders and healthcare workers. Call (623)388-2120 for more information.

Respectfully, Dr. Aspasia Angelou
